Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Saturday March 30th, 2013

This is a fund raiser event for the Emerald Mountain Park Trail System

CROSS COUNTY SKI, SNIKE (SNOWBIKE), SKIKE (ski & snowbike) or SNUNI (snow unicycle)

The 2013 Steamboat Coureur will be held as a one day event this year on Saturday March 30th, 2013.

You have your choice of great spring cross country skiing on a perfectly groomed, fast course, sniking (snowbiking), skiking (ski and snowbiking combined) or snuniing (snow unicycling).

All events will be held on the trails maintained by Steamboat Snowmobile Tours on Rabbit Ears Pass.   If you skied or road the event in 2012 you already know what a fun and superbly prepared course you will be competing on.

The Ski: 10k, 25k or 50k freestyle

The Snike (Snow bike):  25k and 50k options.  Need a snowbike rental?

The Skike (Snow bike and ski): 25k ski and 25k bike back-to-back.  This can be done as an individual or team.

Once again Smartwool will be our major sponsor.  There will be loads of great Smartwool prizes for winners and participants.

Snuni (snow unicycle): You can do the 1k infield loop (as many time as you want), the 5k cross country or the full 17k Walton Peak Loop.

In addition to age division awards there will be the crowning of the King and Queen Skike.  This will be the fastest 50k competitor by any method, ski, bike or skike.  In 2012 the winning 50k and ski and bike times were only 10 seconds apart.

Awards and prizes: Second to none!  Too much to list

Post race feed: Homemade soup, chili, salad, brownies and cookies by Camille’s Kitchen

.

Come and join us for the weekend and enjoy all Steamboat has to offer!
